As some of you might already know (as I answered all my emails last week starting with the words: “I’m in a log cabin at the bottom of ben nevis…”!) I’ve not long got back from a great week away in the Scottish high lands 😀
We stayed in Fort William at Kenny’s log cabin (if you are looking for a great place to stay in Scotland then I’d definitely check this place out – so warm & cosy!) Thanks Kenny for being such a great host.
And so we had a few days of mountains, forests, autumn leaves, snowy walks, hot chocolate, melting marshmallows, lazy evenings on the sofa, competitive nights of Monopoly.
Our perfect little haven just for a few days – – and the fact we managed to escape the world when Donald Trump was elected was a happy bonus.
Psssssttt – if anyone reading this is getting married in or is eloping to Scotland then get in touch 😉
Arriving in the Highlands after an 11 hour drive
Lazing in the cabin
^ Well needed.
The cabin we stayed in is the one on the far right of this photo. We were quite literally at the bottom of Ben Nevis
And this is us at what we guess was about three quarters of the way up Ben Nevis. We carried on a little further but it was so snowy and slippery and we’d already chomped our way through all the rations… So we turned back but the views were amazing!
^ What I have to put up with 😉
