So I’m back from my wedding road trip to Norfolk for the A-MAZ-ING wedding of Janine & Adam at the gorgeous Hush Venues. I’d got to know Janine & Adam so well over their emails and on their engagement shoot with their lovely boy Freddy – there was even an exchanging of banana bread and Easter eggs! – and so I was super excited to see their wedding day come around. I knew it was going to be a really personal day with an emphasis on fun! They had made so much themselves and called on family and friends to help with the personal touches – Janine’s hair style, the cake table, the wedding cake and even the flowers were all DIY! And it looked fab!
I started the day at the cosy onsite B&B where everybody was getting ready. I loved that Adam & Janine broke tradition a little by seeing each other on the morning of their wedding and after exchanging hand written letters to one another, Adam headed out to greet the guests whilst Janine got into her dress.
I think they managed to have all the weather on their wedding day! Luckily during the woodland ceremony the sun was shining and it stayed dry long enough for us to get a few photographs before the heavens opened… heavy rain, thunder & lightning! So everything was moved inside the marquee and all the guests enjoyed tea, coffee and an endless supply of home made cakes. Every time a cake was eaten, another one seemed to appear to take it’s place! So I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Adam & Janine’s fridge is still full of cake now! 😉
Thankfully the rain dried up for some more photos after their relaxed BBQ dinner. Then after the speeches, the band started and everyone hit the dance floor! And yes, I did totally bust a move to Stevie Wonder 😉 of course.
Thank you SOOOO much Janine & Adam for booking me! I hope you like this little preview so far!
